ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Kayce Tynan. I’m currently a credential candidate at CSU Chico, pursuing a single subject credential in Art. I graduated from Chico State with a Communication Design: Graphic Design degree and an Art minor
Since graduating, I’ve built a career in freelance design and launched a small business where I sell my original illustrations on screen printed apparel. My creative journey has given me firsthand experience in the power of art as a form of self-expression - experience that I wish to share with others.
My interest in teaching began after holding screen printing workshops in my town, Chico, CA, where I was lucky enough to show members of the community how to screen print. I have volunteered for many summer camps and have worked with special needs students in their physical education class. These experiences have shown me how transformative and empowering creative learning can be.
I’m pursuing a career in teaching because I hope to spark confidence and creativity in my students. I believe in the importance of making meaningful connections, creating inclusive spaces, and encouraging young people to express themselves through art. I truly look forward to the opportunity to serve our community and make a positive impact.
“A teacher is an alchemist, turning base thoughts into eternal knowledge.”
